I am Fred Ramos, a native of Juiz de Fora (Brazil), but living in Sao Paulo for 33 years, and a partner in Sysgen Tecnologia (www.sysgen.com.br), a software developer and systems integrator. Sysgen’s expertise in object orientation has spawned development tools devised to reduce the distance between the formal modeling process and the executable code. Its leading product, Celero, is a language-independent code generator that can be taught to generate code in any programming language, as long as it is based on text files. My work experience started at 18, when I decided I wanted to be near electronic equipment, so went to the mall and got my first job, as a stereo-systems installer. Four years later, I was in charge of the first computer sales department in a photo shop chain in São Paulo. Then went on to hold several similar positions in many retail stores until 1990, when with a partner, I´ve decided to start a company, Lan Designers, selling a database product called Clarion. Lan Designers became more network and infrastructure oriented, left the database business behind, and in 1996 received the "Best Systems Integrator Award" from Computerworld. After selling my shares in Lan Designers, in 2003 I became part owner of Sysgen.  From 2011 on, I´ve been also dealing with small social network presence campaigns for small and medium businesses. Other than networking, when I can find the time, I like eco-tourism in my native Brazil, taking long hikes. I do also love music (love to sing), and photography, which I was professionally involved with in my younger years, as an assistant photographer. My academic background includes studies in Information Systems Analysis, but I am mainly self-taught. I have a special interest in Philosophy, Ocultism, Theology and Electronics. I do like to read novels and science fiction and also like Sci-Fi TV series and movies. I have quite an eclectic taste in music.
